This Is My Story

In 2010, my family and I moved into a new house and as we finished off our basement bar, I was completely unhappy with the way our cement countertop turned out. Frustration set in and I went into the tool box and grabbed my hammer. I broke up the concrete, tossed it out the window, and was left with a plywood bar top that needed some work. I decided to buy 7000 beer bottle caps on Ebay and enlisted a close friend of mine to help with the project. After over 100 hours of laying caps, gluing caps, grout work, and finishing, I was left with a one of a kind bottle cap bar top.

With a couple thousand caps leftover, my wheels were turning on what I could do next. I finished my first framed piece, and American flag, in 2012. As it turned out, people liked it and asked me to do a couple here and there. This lead to a Saint Louis Cardinals themed item for the Jason Motte Foundation in 2014 that was sold to raise money to assist families that are affected by cancer. I saw how my hobby would allow me to contribute to charities and organizations that I support, and also to start a small business of my own. I have worked with the Jason Motte Foundation, MDA, DEA Survivor Benefits Fund, The Rockwood School District, JB Marine Soccer Association, Brace For Impact 46, Stray Rescue, and I am currently in the process of working with multiple charities and organizations to create a positive impact.
